- The Swiss American Historical Society meets annually, on the second Saturday in October.
- Washington, D.C. will host the 2013 meeting, and in 2014 we will be meeting in Philadelphia. New York will host the meeting in 2015.

My Dear Fellow Members of the Swiss American Historical Society,
I cordially invite you to attend our Annual General Meeting. It will be held Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the Swiss Embassy in Washington, D.C. The morning session will be devoted to business and the afternoon session promises to be informative and entertaining. The dress code is business attire.
08:30 – 09:00 coffee, rolls and informal discussions
09:00 – 12:00 business
12:00 – 01:00 lunch
01:00 – 02:00 presentation by Jean-Francois de Buren, inventor of Helvetiq
02:00 – 02:30 presentation by Suzann Bosshard-Kalin, author of Emigrant Paths
02:30 – 03:00 break with light refreshments
03:00 – 04:30 presentation by Ron Duquette (Albert Gallatin re-enactor) – the Treaty of Ghent
The Embassy address is 2900 Cathedral Ave N.W. , Washington D.C. 20008. The Embassy encourages carpooling since the parking lot accommodates 20 cars. If you wish to arrive by public transportation, the metro station Woodley Park-Zoo/Adams Morgan is on 2700 Connecticut Ave, NW, Washington, It is then a 7 minute walk to the Embassy (going up on Connecticut Ave and turning left on Cathedral Ave).
